At PCC, we believe that every Christian is called to serve.
And One of the main ways that we can serve the Lord is to spread His gospel to the whole world.
It has been said that it is just as sacred to send the gospel where you can not go as it is to preach the gospel where you are.
Our members regularly provide emotional, prayer, and monetary support
for many missionary efforts across the globe.
|
As a congregation, we have chosen to provide special support for the following efforts, and each fifth-Sunday we take up a special collection to help meet financial needs.
We also provide regular support for:

Christ's Mission to Brazil
PCC has had a long relationship with Christ's Mission
to Brazil. Originally founded by American missionaries, Paul and Shirley Lanham (as BraziLanham),
Christ's Mission to Brazil continues to build churches and spread the gospel to the people of Brazil.
Since Brother Paul went on to be with the Lord, and Shirley's illness, Magno &
Ana Lanham have carried on the work of the ministry in Brazil.

The Gideons International
From the Gideons website
The Gideons International serves as an extended missionary arm of the church: Our sole purpose is to win men, women, boys and girls to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ through association for service,
personal testimony, and distributing the Bible in the human traffic lanes and streams of everyday life.
Although the Gideons are not part of PCC's fifth-Sunday collections, we do
support them with monetary gifts throughout the year, and annually have a guest
speaker present the work that the local and international group are accomplishing.

M.I.C.O. (Memphis Inner-City Outreach)
From the M.I.C.O. website In 1989, Don and Sally Todd founded this ministry on the streets of
Memphis, Tennessee. This ministry was established as a result of taking food, clothing, and shelter vouchers to the homeless, ministering weekly inside the
Shelby County Jail, and offering Vacation Bible School outdoors in the Lauderdale Courts Public Housing Project. We continue
to minister to the most needy through church and outreach activities.
Don Todd has been to Paynesville on numerous occasions to bring us news about his work with M.I.C.O., and to serenade us with his wonderful singing voice.
Don has recorded many gospel music albums, and is proud to share the good news in word, deed, and song.

World Mission Builders
From the WMB website World Mission Builders is a non-profit "Christian Missions" organization founded in
1980. Working for one common goal, "To see the lost come to Christ and be discipled."
Jim and Rhonda Bowyer have returned to working with World Mission Builders. Jim and Rhonda have always held a special place in the hearts of the PCC congregation
dating from the time when Brother Jim ministered at Paynesville in the early 1970s.
Over the years, He has brought us the gospel in word and song. And as Brother Jim has loyally supported and encouraged the work in Paynesville, PCC
is likewise proud to support
his ministry.
